I think it probably goes without saying that I am pretty blown away and happy that I can now call Barack President-Elect Obama. With your purchases you all had donated over $900 to the Obama Campaign.
I just got off the phone with Chuck Treece and he had called to say how important he, the Bad Brains, and many, many others thought that these Obama shirts were. He seemed to think that I am 100% responsible for solidifying Obama as a candidate worth voting for amongst many, many people in the music scene that would have otherwise not cast a ballot.
I am reluctant to take that sort of credit and I am humbled that people are willing to offer it.
There seems to still be a high demand for the shirts and while my stock is low I am considering making more to meet demand. However, considering I was giving 50% of the proceeds to Obama's campaign and it is now over, I need to come up with another beneficiary for the funds these shirts will raise. If you have any suggestions I am open to them.
Please e-mail me to let me know you still want shirts and to offer suggestions on beneficiaries.
Sincerely,
Tim Butler

I've been a longtime fan of the seminal DC band Bad Brains and am also (you guessed it) a Barack Obama supporter. I have some professional screenprinting equipment and for several months had wanted to make some Obama shirts but had a hard time coming up with something I liked.
This idea crossed my mind after having shelved the idea of doing a shirt for Obama. I couldn't find anyone else making them so I decided to make them and give 50% of the proceeds to Barack Obama's campaign.
Unisex sizes are printed on Alstyle AAA 100% cotton t-shirts.
Women's sizes are printed on American Apparel.
I hope you like them,
Tim
